The Anemometer uses ultrasonic technology to accurately measure wind speed and direction.
It is equipped with 4 transducers that constantly send ultrasonic sound. The signal is different depending on the speed and wind orientation which allows the anemometer to provide accurate and reliable measurements.
It offers 5 units of measurement: m/s, km/h, mph, nodes, Beaufort. Netatmo mobile app

The Anemometer combines with a Netatmo weather station and transmits data collected from the same mobile interface or PC.
From the app, it is possible to set alerts in strong wind and gusts. You also get more accurate measurements on the temperature felt.
The anemometer communicates in a long-range wireless connection (up to 100 m) with the Netatmo station. It is battery powered (4 AA batteries) which allows you to install it freely in the most suitable place.
